How to root Android with Samsung Odin

Requirements

  • Download CF auto root File on the PC
  • Download Samsung Odin
  • Enable USB debugging (Settings --> General --> About phone --> Build number --> tap 5 times --> You are a developer now --> USB debugging --> Enable)
  • Sufficient battery power is necessary
  • Install Samsung Drivers to PC
  • Back up al the Data


How to Root Android

  1. Download Odin from its official page to your PC
  2. Extract the zip file and run the .exe file as administrator.
  3. Select “PDA” / “AP” and browse to “CF-Autroot-tar file
  4. Tick “F.Reset Time” and “Auto-Reboot”
  5. Put the device into download mode
  6. Connect the device to PC
  7. When the windows connected with the device  “ID:COM box” gets blue.
  8. Click  “Start” 
  9. Once the Android device rooted successfully select “SuperSu” from the app drawer
  10. Install a root checker and check the root status
